What is the Delhi Ladli Yojana?
This scheme was launched on January 1, 2008, by the then Chief Minister of Delhi, and is currently being continued by the incumbent Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal. The scheme is designed specifically to benefit girls, enabling them to advance in their education without facing obstacles.
Under this scheme, the Delhi government covers educational expenses from birth up to Class 12. Financial assistance of ₹11,000 is provided if the daughter is born in a hospital, while ₹10,000 is provided if the birth takes place at home.

- The scheme was launched on January 1, 2008, by the then Chief Minister of Delhi.
- The responsibility for implementing this scheme has been assigned to the Department of Women and Child Development and the Department of Education under the Delhi government.
- Financial assistance is provided by the government from the time of the daughter’s birth throughout her education, continuing until she completes Class 12.
- If the daughter is born at home, ₹10,000 is provided; if born in a hospital, ₹11,000 is provided.

Subsequently, she will receive ₹5,000 upon entering Class 9 and another ₹5,000 upon reaching Class 10. Finally, she will receive an additional ₹5,000 when she enters Class 12.

- Families with an annual income of ₹1,00,000 or less are eligible for this scheme.
- The daughter will receive benefits under this scheme only if she is enrolled in a recognized school.
- Up to two daughters from a single family can benefit from this scheme.
